Denner joined the Ariad BOD in February 2014 and was elected Chairman of that Board in January 2016. It wasn’t mere coincidence that Takeda bought ARIA in light of the history you cite, sleven. The search committee chaired by Denner found a new CEO for ARIA who had years of experience with Takeda.
That scenario already suggests that MRK would be a candidate to buy Amarin, with KM having considerable experience with MRK, Zocor(statin) and ezetimibe. My PCP prescribes Zocor, Vascepa and ezetimibe for me.
