In other words, you’d do everything KM is doing. And maybe, just maybe, by the fourth quarter of 2022 you’d turn a small profit. Quite a reversal from a few quarters ago when $90 million and then $70 million were lost. I bet shareholders would be really impressed when you announced the turnaround. They might even bid the share price up 50 percent in a couple days. And they’d cheer you on.
NS, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Your ideas are very interesting and follow AMRN/KM plan perfectly. All prudent steps. You make a good argument for not investing to accelerate the growth in the US market until after EU/ROW are rolling. I’m sure KM and team must see the benefits as well. You could be on to something. I hope it plays out as you describe, as long as EU starts growing scripts and providing meaningful revenue in 2023-24.
I like your opinion. I would do the same. Survival is the name of the game until you can get on your feet. I remember a question brought up on a financial show. They said imagine you run a business and are successful. You have a client however who is 50% of your business. One day the client unfortunately discontinues his contract with you. What do you do?" There were comments to increase advertising immediately, hire more sales force, sale more product to the existing customers, etc. Then the mentor came back and said she appreciated everyone's comments but what good are all those things going to do if you go bankrupt. The first thing you do is you cut your overhead to the bone so you don't lose your company and then build it back as revenue dictates. All just my opinion as well.
