Fact is Democrats do not slag teachers as you said both do. There is not nearly the equivalence you keep saying there is. And you seem to be fixated on a "tribal" thing. I'm not sure what you are on about there. You seem (again it looks to me a conservative leaning of yours) to again be more critical of Democrats than you are of Republicans. Neither side is exactly tribal on all matters. Democrats have a progressive caucus which pushes policy not supported by the leadership. Then there is Manchin. And i don't know of any Republicans who have spoken in favor of CRT. Or who have taken the teachers side on their chief goal of educating children. Or who have told Rufo to shut the fuck up in his creation of the culture war bullshit

How critical race theory became today’s defining culture-war issue

Trump discovered the perfect weapon on the Sept. 1 episode of Tucker Carlson’s show. Conservative writer and activist Christopher Rufo was expounding about the dangers of critical race theory (CRT), claiming it promoted the belief that America is an irredeemably racist society. Rufo’s presentation must have struck a responsive chord because Trump immediately picked up the theme. Just 22 days later, he churned out an executive order prohibiting the promotion of CRT, as well as sexism, in federal programs.

Although Trump lost the presidential race, he planted a seed that has been vigorously nourished by the extreme right ever since.

You claim independence. You must know research suggests there are very few true
independents, and most every one of your posts suggests you lean conservative.

Maybe it's just me. But my gut says, no it's not that.
