Nuke, one hour later than pac time now, back then AK had 4 time zones
I don't recall large pumpkins but 100# cabbages, ive seen.
My mom, had my brother and I on a mission to get seed's from the big cabbages ( from the Mat/Su valley) but considering we'd have to eat cabbage/kraut with every meal, we couldn't find any, ever!.
BTW I lived in AZ for 12 years..the valley got to hot for me.. but I have a short memory. I miss the awesome off-roading there.
