Lawmakers looking into battery fires and self-driving crashes won't be distracted by his antics, and I doubt EV buyers will either.

The Nazi has been espousing hatred against Democrats - a large slice of his customer base. He told his 100 million followers on Twitter to vote Republican during the midterm elections, going so far as calling the Democratic Party the “party of hate.”

"In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican," he tweeted.

Would the sane president of another major company publicly announce they despise one political party or another?

IMO shareholders (and the SEC) should be seeking to have this reckless a-hole permanently banned from having control of any public company.


At a time when the EV market is expanding exponentially, can a company's owner afford to needlessly alienate a large swath of their customer base even if another segment is growing simultaneously? We shall see...

Tesla's net favorability among self-described Democrats in the U.S. fell to an average of 10.4% [in November] through Nov. 27, down from an average of 24.8% in October, according to Morning Consult. It rose to 26.5% from 20% among self-described Republicans during the same period.

It'll be fun to see if the wanna-be superhero possesses the powers to save himself from the cesspool he dove into.
