I learned much earlier than 2013 to drink bottled, spring water(Perrier, for example) wherever we would go—hotels, restaurants, ships, U.S., Europe, Middle East, Australia, even my former hometown where I had tap water from a faucet until age 18. So far, I’ve felt no effect from any leached plasticizers from plastic bottles; we use spring water to fill our coffee maker in the morning.
I learned the above in the mid 1980s from the Germans I met at BASF who would ask for spring water or quaff beer or wine with lunch or dinner meals anywhere in Europe or in the U.S. when they visited us
