He died from a heart attack, mom has COPD and I've got spots in my lungs so I guess not smoking is the key to better health.

Ditto. My pediatrician chain smoked unfiltered cigarettes, probably I"m thinking the late 1950's, early 1960's.

My wife's mother smoked throughout 4 pregnancies. Two of the kids have had life long lung issues, cause and effect was never established, but still.
