The shorts have not covered, all they have done is borrowed shares and sold them into the market. That is like borrowing 1 Billion bushels of corn and selling them driving down the price on the market, but they don't get to just keep the money, they need to Buy back 1 billion bushels without pushing up the price. Still saying that even without news if they covered we would be back at 20 bucks.
So unless you sold shares at a reduced price to them they are not winning.
X and we are about to get news, I expect the shorts will borrow more and sell into that, no biggy, because the deals will follow this news like dominos.
