How do you know it removes coronavirus infection in patients? Cellular potency data?

EDP-235 is a very potent inhibitor of Covid. The data from in vitro data and animal models is quite clear on what level is needed to inhibit Covid. The phase I trials provided crystal clear data showing that EDP-235 reaches levels many times higher than needed to inhibit Covid, and maintains it for several days after administration stops. This isn't an oncology trial where MOA is unknown or where animal model often doesn't predict what happens in humans. I can't rule out that some unexpected safety issue will crop up in the phase 2 trial.
