And just to refresh your memory it closed 24 months ago at $5.22 for a 143% return.

For me, not that anyone should care, the basis price for my several thousand AVXLs is $4.22. Over the years, using only discretionary dollars in my budget (ones that if lost don’t affect my normal spending or saving) I’ve accumulated a moderate AVXL position — one that I intend to hold for the rest of my days. With today’s closing price of $12.79, once again I’ll sleep well tonight. In five years or so, my investment rewards will be very nice Anavex dividends. When I pass, the shares go to my estate beneficiaries, my wife, children, and select philanthropies.

Or (ha!) blarcamesine on December 1 will prove to be a therapeutic bust and I will lose my dollars in AVXL (when less than $4.22 per share). If that happens (not very likely), I’ll sleep well enough. Life will go on (except for those suffering from various CNS diseases).
