As I recall from a recent board discussion, CRTX had iffy data at the time they requested a CTAD speaking slot, and only during the interim period before CTAD did they get the bad news that resulted in their subsequent withdrawal from the AD market. It is not analogous to our situation.
But the real reason I believe there is not an outright trial failure here is the fact that Anavex must have had the top line results on hand for weeks and clearly has not had to file a report on a trial failure. They do not have to report a trial success at this stage under case law.
