It isn't the cycles that are "magic" it is that their known trajectory has been altered and it happens (surprisingly enough to you, apparently) related to CO2 levels.

do some more reading, and report back on how we know that CO2 levels are correlated to known global temperatures in the past. So the change in CO2 due to man has a measurable impact.

I take eliminating fossil fuels as a goal that will certainly, beneficially, reduce rather than eliminate dependence.
