Back in the day when I was still relevant in that industry we moved from IBM 129 80 character punch cards, even the Buckeye hump yard vacuum tubes to Silicon transitors to paperless. I'm an old school guy, I turned down transponders (and they believed me) just to help about 5k employees save their jobs for a a couple years to get to retirement. Honestly that is where silicon phonics is today, save their ass or move forward.
