Oh, never thought of it that way. At one time I had a hand held GPS that wasn't connected to anything. I think I won it at a golf outing or something but it was pretty neat and we used it for fishing spots on big open lakes and I goofed around with it in the woods for spots I wanted to mark.
There has to be other ones like that out there. It didn't give me specific directions, just distance and as the crow flies stuff.
