I honestly can't see anywhere where birdguy ever came close to what you say here:

Most birds migrate at night and the structures are not lighted. Hawks migrate during the day as they use lift from the air movement or heated areas to climb but nearly all the passerines (smaller birds) are commonly night time flyers. He didn't even suggest how many of the birds flying at night were killed. he just offered quiet information as he knew it. Nothing more.
I agree he needn't have blamed the whole board, that's why i responded to him. That however has nothing at all to do with your having a go at him for something he didn't do.
To me he obviously was just a quiet, decent guy who told us what his birding was when i asked him. When he was attacked unfairly, as i felt too he was, am guessing he probably just felt .. uh, ok .. why bother with the board.
I have to have something to eat and clean up before going to see a knee guy, so am gonna drop this for now - maybe totally - by just saying i felt he got hints of aggression where none was warranted.
No big deal. It's just obvious, at this point, we disagree on the reception he received.
