Re Dr Fred Leonberger,

I'm glad you asked about him. His credentials are stellar, of course. The question is what is his involvement with Lightwave? He is on the board and is chairman of the operations committee. Sounds good - but is it? Does he spend more than a few hours a year being briefed by management, and then making suggestions? Maybe, but we don't really know.

Wouldn't it be great to get some validation from Dr Leonberger? He could have been quoted in some press releases, or on the Investor Presentation...Companies often quote their experts, but I haven't seen any.

Dr Leonberger seems to be a very busy man:

*He is a professor at the USF Institute for Advanced Discovery & Innovation,
*member of all kinds of organizations
*has over 160 publications (still publishing?)
*Principal at Eovation Advisors
*Senior Advisor at MIT Center for Integrated Photonic Systems(per WSJ)
*Advisor at Signal Lake Management LLC (WSJ)
*On the board of 5 other companies.(WSJ)

So it's really anybody's guess how much he knows what is really going on at Lightwave, and how involved he really is.

I believe one of the two deserves his bonus but not the other. Without Lebby being brought on, the share price would be under 30 cents by now. My guess is also that JM had nothing to do with Lebby coming on board.

If they do announce some sort of license agreement, we need this share price to be much higher than we are trading at now. I would like to be north of 12 dollars a share for a base than at these levels. X, I still cannot figure who would be short over 18 million shares of an illiquid stock. Makes zero sense form a profit standpoint. There is only a few dollars downside vs a huge loss if the stock explodes. Is there a list of the the hedge funds who are short this?
