Thanks for this important story link. This boils so much down to the simple and concise realities of GBM and the options available beyond SoC, and the crucial element of support by the Governments and their healthcare systems!

Bottom line of treatments for GBM at this moment in time:

DCVAXL
Novocure headgear

The UK’s NICE hasn’t recommended the headgear on grounds of efficacy-cost effectiveness.

This currently leaves DCVAXL as a potentially recommendable GBM treatment beyond SOC!

Now with breakthrough nGBM and rGBM phase 3 trial results that the top US and UK neurosurgeons put their substantial credibility behind and have a growing number of living patients who would have with certainty been long gone to their families, including beloved members of government and celebrities, the only trade off is whether the cost of treatment is “worth it.”

The patients have no other options currently!

Good find! Now NWBO could have an intern put the link in the “NWBO in the news” section of their website which any company could maintain without it being called ‘hyping.’

Oh wait…can’t do even that.

The article is poorly written and makes it look almost like NICE said DCVax-L was not effective:

'Insufficient evidence of effectiveness'
DCVax, a type of immunotherapy, uses a vaccine which utilises the body's immune cells to target the cancer.
It is currently in the third phase of clinical trials but initial results suggest it could help patients like Owain.
Optune is a device that looks like a skull cap which creates electrical fields to disrupt tumour cell division.
In 2018, the body which advises the NHS on treatments, NICE, said there was "insufficient evidence of its clinical effectiveness in terms of improvement in overall survival and progression-free survival to make the technology cost effective".
