I want to see if they can be a consistent winner the mets. My expectation will never rise past that, and I think it is irrational for any fan base to have expectations past that. Sure at some point you have to win one. But to me I will always have different expectations, part of my explaination, is it is a bit of luck. The phillies Might be the worst team in the NL to make the playoffs and they can win a world series. hence especially with the new format, I feel it is just about being hot at the right time. Don't have to be the best team. That is all a bit of luck. And I feel you can't Hold the GM, if your the GM of the dodgers or the braves for example you built great teams, they just weren't hot at the right time. No way to control that.

In fairness because I don't want to give your gm a pass, he makes alot of bad decisions, granted most GM's do. He simply is in my opinion a average to a slightly above average GM that has been raved about for years like he is great until recently, but that is because he has huge resources behind him. He has always been overrated in my opinion.

Salaries aren't down, just misplaced. Wasted on big names over the years instead of a balance between giving up prospects for young stars. The bad thing about Cashman's vision is that Hal is too close and most likely complicate.
