That is still the case now just expressed like this in the Exclusion Criteria:

Being treated with psychoactive medications on a stable dose for less than 3 month.


Note that: Donepezil is a psychoactive medication!

The requirement is simply that a patient has been on a stable dose of the drug for 3 months 90 days) or more prior to joining the Anavex trial. This should be an easily fulfilled requirement and likely easier than exclusively finding and enrolling patients not on any of the AD SOC drugs.

It is considered unethical to required patients to stop taking SOC when part of clinical trial of an unapproved drug.
