But in general other medications would not be exclusionary unless explicit in criteria. These patients are on tons of meds that aren’t in either list but will still be included
Therefore it does not appear that concomitent use of donepezil (Aricept) is allowed for this trial.
It is not excluded so that means that a trial subject can be taking it.
What is specified is that any trial subject has to taking and stable on any psychoactive drug for 3 months prior to starting the trial.
As I pointed out in a previous post, most of the improvement that comes from taking Aricept occurs in the first 3 to 6 weeks. So any benefit from taking Aricept would be included in the baseline.
