The Irishman, I always believed that only a motivated BP could effectively
promote & sell Vascepa both in the US as well as the ROW. AMRN has
failed in selling Vascepa in Germany having to get rid of people they hired
to sell the drug there. Now they are hiring for an expected launch in Spain.
My conclusion is that only a BP can salvage the situation and at least give
Vascepa a shot at success. Anything less than that is a setup for failure.

Our best hope is that Dr. Bhatt & Alex Denner, having a vested interest
in seeing Vascepa succeed as a drug, should be working towards
getting a BP to acquire AMRN. Bhatt is on Bristol-Myers Squibb BOD
and must have many BP connections. Denner has a massive potential
loss of his investment if Vascepa fails. Both have the motivation to get
a BP BO to happen. KM's performance so far is abysmal. So far Denner
has not sold out of AMRN. Perhaps Denner has made nice with AMRN
management. If not I do not expect him to remain silent for too long.

The problem was, it was all just getting started when Dingy Du dropped her bombshell ruling. It makes sense that growth wa unimpressive at the time and it also made sense to me to stop spending money on advertising. The way the prescription model works in the US would have benefited the generics as much as or more the brand V. Until we get that fixed, why spend a nickel on ads.

Irish From mid 2020 to March of 2022 was probably one of the worst times in recent history to launch a new drug like Vascepa .
In my experience with Kaiser and UCSF ...they always wanted a blood draw / lipid panel run when adding a new CV med .
There was no way I was going into a lab to have a blood draw during this time period . I didn't even go for my annual physical .
So even if your MD recommended a new drug like Vascepa ...many IMHO declined it if it required a blood draw in advance .

On top of that sales reps were prohibited from going to MD offices or holding MD " educational " dinners for a lot of this time .
Then throw onto that Dr Nissen claiming R-IT was a false trial due to the MO .

As KM stated in a CC ..failure to launch .
