Whatever is the intent, the method of sampling can help prove that intent.

How can you compare that when there are so many more gas cars on the road while EVs are more spread out; ratio of about 100:1. Also Teslas are driven by higher economic and educated class compared to average gas car and those individuals are 10 times less likely to get into deadly accidents. A better comparison would be see how many BMWs get into accidents vs how many Teslas per 10,000 . I'm pretty sure that Teslas get into far more accidents than BMWs.
The reason why is because EVs are more susceptible to electromagnetic interference than gas. However if a gas vehilce had similar level of electronics youd see it too have an abnormal amount of accidents.
