J.B. Stradford barely escaped an unmarked mass grave in the area, his hotel burned to the ground along with the rest of the Greenwood, his family was impoverished and forced to flee. A highway was driven through the neighborhood.

The Stradford is a distant memory, Conrad Hilton's heiress is a billionaire, and so it goes.

Multiply the Greenwood story by thousands.

I had a fellow soldier in Germany that would have been a 3rd generation Boston firefighter, but for affirmative action. He was bitter. That job was his birthright. Of course the black fellow who they were forced to hire wasn't entitled to be a firefighter... because his father hadn't been a firefighter, nor had his father before him... because they weren't allowed to be.

And of course race-based acceptance to colleges is wrong too... unless your grandfather and father attended that college, like the Bushes at Yale for instance. I mean, that's not really for white people as such. It's just that its for white people in fact.
