Yep, the company and fans of the company would have you think that it is “easy-peasy” to throw some polymer into the mix at a high volume semiconductor fab. It is just a matter of time. Yeah, over 20 years of time and still ticking.

Just give them another 20 years. It will still be ticking if the clock hasn’t broken by then.

in order to mitigate risk they partnered with multiple foundries in case one is slower or has problems

That is not THE reason why they are working with many foundries. It may be A reason, but ANOTHER reason is that an end-user guided LWLG to work with at least one of them.

(ie by year end 2021 at the latest)

6-9 months from mid-May 2021 is not end of 2021 at the latest.

They likely had problems with several if not ALL of the foundries they are working with.

You have no basis for that statement. Problems? ALL? Perhaps engineering hurdles is a better phrase?

my conclusion

Your opinion, you mean?

If they can't get one 'result' -- ie a finalized PDK –

No one ever said an “expected result” was a finalized PDK.

it will be more clear to more people that something is seriously wrong

Absolute FUD
