Maher has pointed out, accurately, that he has slammed Trump and other members of the GOP far more often than he has slammed liberals.

He expresses frustration at political correctness/wokeness mostly because he thinks it undermines Dem electoral chances.

He often chides conservatives for cherry picking from his show, ignoring the much more prevalent harshness he dishes out towards them.

But he also ignores the exaggerated importance his alarmism brings to his topics.

I have watched Maher for years, like many, he tries to stay revelant in today's world. It's hard to keep an audience, he lost so many when the pandemic hit. Now he is trying the two sides must both be represented, and if it gets extreme, then that's what happens. It's hard to remain neutral, or even intelligent when one side has discarded reason.
