Ok, again, Venezuelan immigrants are a unique and thorny issue. Because Venezuela and the US don't have diplomatic relations, we cannot repatriate them back to their home country. Additionally, other countries, like, say, Mexico, are under no obligation to shelter them.
Regardless, there are many, many worse places to be sent to than Martha's Vineyard. I'd bet that some decades from now these immigrants will realize their good fortune, that they weren't made to stay in Texas.
In MA, they will have access to much better health care, public schools, environmental regs, reliable heat and a/c, and, ultimately, more opportunities.
