There are heads of companies moving their companies to Florida from places like Chicago and NYC because of the crime against individuals becoming more and more frequent and uncontrolled.
I would not move back to NYC, not even the relatively safe neighborhoods I had lived in.
Between the random assaults even in broad daylight and the unfriendly tax situation, and the winter weather, and now they want to make you pay for driving into Manhattan on top of $17 toll across the Verrazano and $8-9 across the other bridges and tunnels, Florida looks pretty good.
