Panton - As the story goes, our beloved friend was on the verge of retiring 10 years ago. My Brother told him that retirement wasn't a good idea, and being with the wife all day wouldn't help matters. Besides, he was too popular and would be far too missed. So my brother said, "I have office space for you. You can have the entire first floor and an assistant free of charge." Besides, it would be nice to have a good endo in the office. So my brother had our friend's new office nicely shined up, and added his name on the building facade. Later on our friend would write checks to my brother, because he didn't feel comfortable with the arrangement. So from time to time, our friend would say, "I don't understand, I don't see the checks debited from my account?" That's because my brother wasn't interested in cashing them. So that's how things went, they attended dinners, as long as our friend's health allowed. My Brother hasn't accepted losing his friend, the Dr's name remains on the building facade. Recently, my brother took in another doctor, an excellent Kidney specialist, who had run into an unfavorable practice partnership, where let's say he was being pushed out. When people call his forrmer office, they say he doesn't work there anymore. So what does my brother do. He has a sign put up across the street directing customers to the new address where they can find him lol.
That's bro for you. Big heart, great human being.
