Fwiw - I don't think that any amount of marketing could force a worldwide trend unless there were merits to it and consumers found it valuable. For example, myself. For the most part I use my phone to text and talk, quick access to information or directions - that's it. Edit: Oh, and as a timer sometimes.

Friends, family, people I see everywhere are accessing all sorts of devices all the time. Yes, they often work from a laptop or desktop, but they're still on their devices as well i.e. responding to texts, looking at alerts, etc. that arrive on mobile devices. And, when they're not working, if they're not gaming, their laptop isn't open and desktop likely isn't even on.

I know you believe it to be some giant marketing gimmick, but that's not what I see with my own eyes. So, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree because I only see mobile devices being used more frequently and in more interesting ways in the future.

However the percentage of the internet population using mobile devices for all their internet of things is still in the minority of the 310 million people in our country alone.

Yes. BUT don't forget that large parts of the world--India, Africa, China--skipped the desktop phase. Many people went directly to phones for all their computing needs. And they continue to use phones as their primary electronic devices.

That's an enormously important development, but I don't think many of those people use IHub.

Chat as yours, Shelley's and others' is all fine and good and interesting and informative.
Just don't see it as going at all toward answering the questions which this issue is all about ..

Changes are part of life. It's just that...

Just noticed the Go by the post numbers is now blocked in blue. WHY? How is
the excess script required to create that anything more than a waste of space.

How do the changes make the site better for the mobile user? Maybe they do. It would just be good to be told how. And why.

If there are good and valid reasons for the changes it should be easy to tell us why.
