Sawston must be certified based on DCVax-L commercializtion or the blowback on Linda/Toucan would have teeth. They won’t go there without serious repercussions hence they won’t go there. Therefore, speculation that Sawston would be approved commercially without a focus on L is speculation without any serious merit.
Firstly, this is your opinion. Not a fact.
Second, I'm not claiming that the commercial cert is going to be used for anything other than DCVax-L. I do believe it will be granted, and DCVax-L will be the first (maybe only) commercial production line at Sawston. That does not mean the license is specific to DCVax.
If you are getting a hunting license, it almost always makes sense just to get an "all game" license vs a license specifically for one type of game, i.e. deer, turkey, fish etc. It's usually only a few dollars more. So you and the wildlife and fisheries dept may know full well you are applying for a license to specifically hunt deer. But you're getting the general license anyway. Why limit yourself? NWBO is applying for a general all game hunting license. As such, I don't think they need DCVax specific marketing approval apps to get the license, even though that is what they intend to use the license for.
