That's fine if they're placebo patients who crossed over to the vaccine. It would be a strong indication that the vaccine can be administered latter in treatment and still be effective. I really don't think we'll find that any placebo patients who didn't cross over are long term survivors.

We have a friend who has a close friend with GBM who's pretty far advanced. He's being treated at Cedars and we've made them aware of DCVax-L but I don't believe it's available anywhere if his tumor was properly preserved. I've suggested they contact UCLA to see if one of their combination trials might apply, but I doubt it. I don't believe the patient could be moved to England even if they could be considered for compassionate use there, but I have no idea how sick a patient must be to be beyond all hope, he probably is there already. I don't know him personally, but their description of him makes me think that there is little that can be done besides keeping him as comfortable as possible.
