From what i gather from the SCOTUS docket search, the request has been scheduled for 9/28/2022 conference.

The solicitor general has asked for review of Alice. After rejecting American Axle, shouldn’t that increase the odds that they take up World’s case?

I agree with your sentiments. It's still a long shot at this point and your timeline seems very likely. If by chance SCOTUS decided to hear this case, that would be an extraordinary catalyst, and $$ would pour back in here, especially closer to the hearing.
