I am beyond "almost", more towards "perplexed" and "dumbfounded". Even if a Judge was leaning towards ruling against us, to not even question our adversaries on the merits, to at least solicit their viewpoint and defenses to our contentions for the sake of the completeness of the record, is beyond comprehension. This why we center our Petition on Supreme Court Rule 10(a) which calls upon the Court to exercise its supervisory power where, as here, the lower courts have went off the reservation.
