It's a logical conversation to have. It's not a bear argument, it's just reasonable to discuss when looking at the company financials. They need to raise more cash. They have an issue with the authorized share count. An RS is naturally the first thing that comes to mind. Yes, partnership with a massive share buy back or sale of company are obvious alternative solutions and I'm not discounting that option. But RS is a legitimate option as well and ignoring it adds no value to a productive discussion, even though it is scary.
If the company release information and the share price rises organically, an RS doesn't have to be scary either. An RS can be incredibly productive if it's done after news.
