I'm in 3 deep now, and will let you know my thoughts-- so far, so good as I enjoy these ethnically based dramas. Even better that it's based on a book that's factually based.
At first I thought I'd seen this woman, lead character, but I could not place her.
Then it struck me..
She could be the Jewish sperm donor recipient (I believe she's in a same sex marriage) for, drumroll....

One question. I realize I could look it up, but for the info of all who may read: Is it a Hasidic custom for brides to have their heads shaved, and does that shaving continue? I did notice most of the elder women wore wigs or a scarf(?) on their head?
