I'm no expert on Hasidim but I think those women as well as the run of the mill ultra Orthodox women do wear wigs, after they're married. Not sure if they shave their heads underneath all that.
I thought the lead actress was so strange looking, so tiny and whatever that is was an unnecessary distraction.
