Answer my own question.

Successor in interest apparently has a different meaning in law than it does in English.


Now if I could just figure out why common Fannie shareholders are not included... more reading.

I believe the cutoff date is a holder from 7 Dec 21 and back. Nothing going forward at least not at this time. I am still buying a little here and there due to the fact that if they do reach a settlement it SHOULD start dividends again. HOPEFULLY.

That is also my understanding. If you buy from today to the judgement or settlement date, you are in unless you opt out.

That's how i read it.

Otherwise... the market for Freddie would dry up as no one woould be willing sell their shares.

its really just a notice of what's going on with no real bar date. As in the bar date will be the date of settlement...

VERY ripe for manipulation.
