Such a weird post. Was America a democracy before women could vote? Was it a democracy before the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965?

Is America a democracy now, with all of the voter suppression laws being enacted? Is America a democracy when the loser of the popular vote can win the Electoral College vote and be installed anyway?

I guess not, people who live in glass houses..... That rose colored nostalgia casts a powerful spell.

B402, Slowing down Yep Faug, there's my problem...Even when people agree with me I tend to miss it as Zor pointed out...

I take controversial positions and fend off attack after attack,,Then, they all look like attacks after a while...

I try to slow down by not bothering with the biggest idiots, but I have more work to do....

For the most part, it would be enjoyable to sit with most of you, around the campfire, in the living room or where ever,,Beer, wine or smoke, to each his own, People may even get over the fact of where I live, the ball cap I wear, talk about where they live and their experience and we'd solve the problems of the world :-)

There is a quite desperation out there most are missing, few want to hear about it much rather understand it exists....There are also realities that must be faced of what we can and can't do,,I think solutions can be found, It takes Education and experience...Im idealistic but I think deep down we all are....
