One year for an accelerated path in the UK!? You need to look at those numbers again.
Show me any example of an oncology drug that has been approved faster by MHRA's accelerated paths.
There are only 2 examples I know of for MHRA's accelerated paths in oncology.
One was the Orbis based approval of Tagrisso. That was only 4 months after the FDA approved it. A relative win for MHRA by their standards.
The other was in the ILAP pathway where Belzutifan was announced with great fanfare into the program over a year ago. Approved by the FDA last August and still crickets in the UK.
Calling out the COVID emergency action is pointless. That was an exception across the world and they were only days earlier than others.
