For one the function of the keystone pipeline was clearly laid out in all the preliminary requests for permits and US government authorization of building codes and land access. The reason for the pipeline was to ship heavy crude completely south to texas to be exported without any tapping of product til the port. All was debunked by our government studies of the impact such an mess would have created. Our government also proved the keystone lies about creating full time jobs. Basically there aren't any once it's built.
And most construction would have come from Canada and then go back.
Those refineries? Most of the process is/was going to be leased to our one or two insider companies. There doesn't seem to be any oil product profits involved, just leases.
And your numbers are very incorrect and inflated.
And no, that US got anything profit or product from keystone is the real bullshit.
What's unfortunate is our US producers would rather make more money overseas exporting than give our own country a break. So they decided to up our costs as well.
Really strikes me as an almost personal spite thing by big oil for the slow down of their profits in 2020.
