He has been an investment banker, CFO of a biotech, PhD Scientist and has a top school MBA. By job and education, he is better than 75% of the biotech CEO's I have seen, most of whom are pure scientist or pure businessman (or worse, pure lawyer). Quite rare to have a guy with substantial finance and science experience.

Well said. Incase of a buyout, BP will not keep him even for 1 day. They have absolute no use of him. He does not bring any special skills.
