You’re very kind Bright Boy. We’re all a “hive mind” or the better term may now be “swarm intelligence”. Even people in their own minds can be back and forth on an issue and thinking it through from different angles. Swarm intelligence brings it all together, gathers the evidence from many locations, different personas who have different expertise and interests, and all of it is brought back to the “hive”, where people share, discuss and analyze the new information.
The hive mind is a great thing when it works. It’s not perfect, but it is greater than the pieces in many respects as well. It’s not decisive for the group, but it assists each member of the group with better and better information.
