CATTY: If your broker is like mine, TSLA does not qualify for as much margin, as, say AAPL. As such, selling TSLA may not reduce your margin as much as selling other stocks in your portfolio.
I have been guilty of riding near the top of my margin in spite of my best intentions. It is NOT a comfortable feeling.
