Maybe not such a bad idea. They may end up being a niche product of sorts. Rolex could probably raise prices 25% and the die hards would still buy a Rolex over any other brand of wristwatch.
The price sensitive bike/treadmill consumer is a lost cause for Peleton. So why not try to eke out some additional margin for the people who will accept nothing other than the genuine article?
