yup, In my high school we were a football force at the time. It was also the time that anabolic steroids were becoming a mainstay so our athletes had "issues". There was one dude who literally charged people 5 bucks a pop to break an empty bottle off of his head at parties.
He wound up looking like a neanderthal by the time he graduated and was dumber than the day was long but he was an absolute beast. He couldn't read or write but somehow made it through college prep school with passing grades and brought it to the field every fall....
He committed suicide when he was 20 and that was back in 1991 where I first learned about concussion syndrome and what it does. I was no stranger to it myself but that's why I quit the contact and picked up the golf clubs and bowling ball.
