I don't think so. You want to wave around that prestigious degree, that's fine. As long as it's paid for.
A kid can visit there without having to enroll and get the same experience. Don't give me that liberal bullshit either. You know it's a hotbed for the righty quacks.
Maybe not in your day, but definitely in mine. When I was growing up, all I wanted to do was go to Notre Dame. I got accepted with a food stipend but my parents still couldn't afford it and I wasn't going to commute two hours every day to go to school and put my mom out on the street just to pay my tuition.
Like I said, I may be bitter but don't steer that into anything that you might not understand. We get the same education from our local instructors for a dime on the dollar and I've visited numerous campuses.
The libraries are all accessible.
