#435258 RE: VikingInvest #435241

Vikinginvest, we don't know if back in October, when Dr. Bosch's presentation was scheduled, whether it was planned as a victory lap because NWBO believed that TLD/publication would be out before January 20 or whether the presentation was supposed to be an overview of past, present and future GBM treatments with TLD/publication thought to be some months away.

If the presentation was supposed to be a victory lap, why now issue the cancellation a mere 5 days prior to the talk? A logical reason for taking this step would be if NWBO believed until today that the results would be PRd before January 20 and very recently realized that TLD/publication would be delayed till after January 20.

OTOH if during October, Dr. Bosch's presentation was planned to discuss
the history and future of GBM treatment with the expectation that the results of the trial (TLD/publication) would still be pending, again why issue a cancellation now, 5 days before the presentation unless they believe that TLD/presentation will be with us shortly before the presentation or shortly thereafter. In that case a more general presentation topic would no longer be relevant.

In either case, a victory lap or a an overview of GBM treatment, the cancellation of the presentation on such short notice suggests that perhaps we are very close to TLD/publication.

Of course there may have been other reasons for this on short notice cancellation such as illness, an emergency or a number of other reasons.
Just speculating here like everybody.

VikingInvest,

Did they know or really expect that the journal article would be published by this month to be able to take a victory lap? We still had Covid and a possible resurgence to delay things so a victory lap seems like getting ahead of oneself. Then also how does that topic provide a victory lap unless the topic were to be changed by a certain dead line. The history lesson is on your side and history has been a great teacher as regards NWBO for sure but the topic and timing seem to point to moving past a placeholder as that could have been removed sooner so the conference could adjust sooner as well. This is especially true if they ever want to be welcomed back after a string of apparent placeholder no shows in the last few years at various venues.
I think NWBO wanted to say something if possible during the quiet period to let folks know a little about what they have been going through while we wait for “the process”. This would have been a way to explain why things are the way they are and help investors and the scientific community identify with the frustration of being a pioneer. That explanation is no longer needed in my opinion except in a movie ; ). Best wishes
