Yeah, I think a lot about that too and rationalize that the journal authors are coming from a different environment and have more prestige at stake in their medical profession than an Agency reviewer doing a job. As I said a rationalization to fit the circumstances...I got reprimanded in my job one time ago for rationalizing so there's that ;)
