We are sitting at 80 cents or less so I cannot see how what are doing is benefitting long term shareholders (assuming that we have stellar data because otherwise this is giving long term shareholders an extended chance to exit before the other shoe drops).
Still your argument that things could be worse sounds better than when the strategy of silence got us to the 20 cent range and kept us there a good long while and those defending management tried to argue that but for the silence things would be even worse. That gave anyone with common sense to know better a good laugh.
