I can't recall seeing My portfolio is doing poorly. Maybe I should take a few months off and read some respected investment books.

Well, although slightly embarrassing, a long time ago (+12 years) I was one of the gullible, and I lost substantial money on two Nasdaq stinkers and one OTC fraud. I was all ears when our beloved Janice wrote compelling posts. She was and is always focussed on teaching and helping anyone who would listen. A THANK YOU shout out to Janice!! I stopped trading all together and began reading everything until I was comfortable investing in blue chip stocks. I have recovered all the money I had lost +12 years ago and am well into the green. A few blips since then but very minor.

Incidentally, 12 years ago was when I started the SEC Suspensions and Revocations Board, wanting to warn 'traders' about the perils of playing OTC stocks. I have hoped that at least a few I-Hubbers avoided catastrophic losses from reading that board. 3,990 SEC Suspensions over 12 years should scare the bajeebers out of everyone....but 'it won't happen to me' mentality still prevails.
